Standards for Program Evaluation

Standards for program evaluation are divided into four categories:

Utility Standards
Feasibility Standards
Propriety Standards
Accuracy Standards

In order to meet each of these standards, I have taken various precautions.

Utility Standards: I have ensured that each stakeholder is included, their voice is heard, and I am reporting their experiences as accurately as possible. This helps ensure that follow through on impact will be more likely. I will also take the steps to ensure that an experienced team of evaluators are working together. This helps to ensure personal biases are removed through accountability and evaluator credibility is evident.

Feasibility Standards: Written surveys and personal interviews are practical ways of acquiring data. This program has few participants and is centralized to one area. This means that the amount of data collected and the distance to travel to collect the data will not be overly abundant that it will impair data collection.

Propriety Standards: Survey and interview results will be kept anonymous so as to protect the privacy of the participants, family members, program instructors, and other stakeholders.

Accuracy Standards: To ensure the validity and reliability of the data and results, verbatim transcripts will be coded and assessed by a team of evaluators to ensure that interpretation and personal biases don't impede on the study.
